WHAT I WORE : THE WHITE LINEN DRESS

Good Morning Gorgeous,

Welcome to another week as we soon say goodbye to January, the weeks are flying past, aren't they? More important to enjoy every second, minute and hour that each day brings.

I am back with my work day style post...... the first for 2017.  Working as a retail stylist I get to keep up to date with new trends and styles as they enter the store.

Today I would like to introduce to you the Tie Wrap Dress , which I did feature in last weeks click list. I have to say this wrap style looks amazing on so many different body shapes. There are at least four of us that are currently wearing this piece at work.

WHAT I WORE || MY DAUGHTERS FORMAL

It is all done and dusted. My parenting of school children is all over with. It is all a little surreal at the moment, I am out of the school mode but I feel when it comes back to school next year it will hit me. I do have little bursts where I feel a little overwhelmed that it is all done and dusted.

When I look back and realise how much both my daughters have achieved and all the successes they have with life friends and love I am happy so so happy and super proud of the young ladies they are and the respect the have with their peers, friends and family!!

WHAT I WORE :: THE PARADISE PRINT PLAYSUIT

I am in love with the new print, in store now, at Country Road. The paradise print just screams sunshine and warmth. I just love playsuits, as long as they are long enough, they are a simple and stylish to wear when the heat is on.

The cut and fit of this paradise playsuit is just perfect...... I am in love with my new favourite piece from Country Road.

WHAT I WORE - THE PRINT SHIRT DRESS

The weather is warming and the seasons are changing so it is time to update with new season fashion. A shirt dress is an elegant way to add something new.  I adore the fabric of this shirt dress that I love to wear to work. Dresses are an easy way to update your closet with a simple one piece to pair back with sandals.

WORK DAY STYLE

Good Morning Beautiful.

I am a little late blogging this morning as I have been working longer hours and making the time I have at home to relax and unwind. The fabulous Nikki over at Styling You shares with us a regular Model and Me feature which showcases a specific piece or pieces of clothing on a model and on Nikki, herself. This is a perfect representation on how we can all try something new and to embrace ourselves for the way we are at any age or shape.

Today I would like to share with you my very own 'Model + Me' feature with a stunning floral dress from Country Road.

WHAT I WORE - SHIFT DRESS

Summer is here, so for me it is  time to get out my dresses and maybe purchase a few newbies. I am dress girl. Summer is hot so the ease of wearing a dress - an all in one piece - easy to wear - to dress up or down anyway you please. A dress excites me and if i love them so much and they come in other colours than I just may buy one of each colour. I have done it before.

WHAT I WORE OFF THE SHOULDER TOP

I have fallen in love..... is it possible to fall in love with a piece of clothing? I say yes, Yes it is. Over the last few weeks I have seen gorgeous bloggers wearing this amazing 'off the shoulder top' from Katies. I adore this top, perfect for those warm days.

DAILY STYLE FILE // MIXED PRINTS

On Sunday night I wanted to wear my new floral midi skirt, but I had to find a top that was just right to wear that was just right. I tried plain t-shirts, in plain white and white with a logo. They just did not work for this particular time. I tried this striped blouse and I was happy. A clashing of prints that worked perfectly. Well I think so!

WHAT I WORE | KHAKI + GREY + BLACK

As you are aware I love perusing pinterest to get pinspiration from styling my pieces in different ways. If you are ever stumped on how to style or what to wear head to pinterest and pin away until your heart is content. Choosing styles you love or pieces you need to buy. I love styling from with in pieces I already have in my closet. Not only is it a money saver but those pieces you have stored away can come to the forefront again, as most pieces do come around again, within reason.

WHAT I WORE | THE SLEEVELESS COAT/CAPE

The coat of the season is sleeveless with a waterfall effect. Simple yet stylish. Camel is so popular right now and a must have for everyone. The sleeveless coat is perfect for everyday and special occasions.

WHAT I WORE. NAVY. BLACK. LEOPARD

Are you a lover of leopard print?

I know leopard is an acquired taste and you either steer clear from it or love it and wear it as a feature to your ensemble. I just love my leopard print cape it is like wearing a cuddly warm blanket out. So warm, light and snug.

WHAT I WORE : KNIT TUBE SKIRT

I fell in love with this look when I was pinning for my style file on pinterest - a haven where I create my visual notes for styling my day. My go to resource when I am stuck on what to wear and how to co-ordinate what I already have in my closet.

WHAT I WORE FOR A JOB INTERVIEW

Yesterday I travelled into the city for a job working with an Australian fashion label I adore. How lucky am I? I just hope I hear from them and they say I have got the job, and the best part is it is in the city. Mind you the weather has been cyclonic over the last few days but that did not stop me traipsing into the city, on public transport. Boy I am so lucky to have that so accessible to me, especially since I do not drive. The lovely area manager who interviewed me said for a normal 45 minute trip it took her two hours.

daily style file STRIPED MIDI SKIRT + TEE + HEELS

This is me, just me, hair 'au la naturale' I could have straightened it or something else but I had a bad morning, it was hot and sticky, I really could not be bothered. I still wanted to showcase my style so I added a little BB cream, my CHANEL healthy glow sheer powder (I am secretly in love with this product). I just love the way it makes my skin look and feel. A close up one day maybe on how it looks.

daily style file NEW IN MY CLOSET

When an occasion is nearing it is nice to go shopping and pick something new to wear. I am often a spur of the moment shopper. If there is an occasion coming up I love to venture out and see what is new and if there is anything that scream 'buy me'. Last week I ventured into my local Westfield and headed to one of my favourite destinations 'Witchery'. The last few years, season after season, they have a few items that I just have to have.

This is when I welcomed 3 new pieces into my life.

what I wore BOHEMIAN TRADERS

Sitting here listening to One Direction - 'Steal My Girl' and 'Night Changes' - Nothing like listening to up beat music while blogging.
A few weeks ago in my facebook feed I saw the lovely Emily from The Beetle Shack wearing the leopard print shorts and off the shoulder top from her little boutique Bohemian Traders and I fell in love. They just had to be mine.

21.1.15

what I wore COUNTRY ROAD SHORTS + TOP

I have not really been happy with my photo taking, and I still believe I am yet to master the perfect spot and the perfect image for me. I am happy with some of them asI do share them on instagram but not very often here on my blog. After taking the images for today's feature I asked Miss B (my 16 year old) what she thought of the photos.

WHAT I WORE || CUE

Today I have a little 'Model and Me' post with a dress I bought from CUE. I just love Cue and I tend to buy a new dress each season, I have more CUE dresses than I do any other brand. Why? Because they flatter my shape and they use imported fabric from Europe which is always, I believe, superior quality. I have not had a problem with any of the dresses and some I have owned for nearly 8 or so years.
