Travel : Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island is a dream place to visit. Time to refresh and recuperate to just be - to sit by the pool or beach. Take a day trip out to the reef. 

I have been taking the time to travel on my own, which I find invigorating , also a little lonely but time to find and grow with in myself. Travel is therapeutic and a time to learn.  

  

  

  

  

  

 

 

   

   

   

I left on Wednesday the 6th March when Cyclone Alfred was starting to implode on Brisbane and surrounding areas.  I was watching the weather for Hamilton Island vert closely but all was fine so I flew on Wednesday morning from Sydney.

New York has my heart. My daughters and I have been big Gossip Girl fans and have watched the series many times, I am currently watching it again as I am familiar with some of the New York landmarks now. The (Lotte) New York Palace hotel (Serena's home).

13 BASICS TO PACK FOR A VACATION TO JAPAN

Today my darling Miss R and her adorable boyfriend Mr J are leaving for a vacation to Japan for four weeks. They are leaving the first flight out so I have booked a hotel for them to make it easier to arrive at the airport on time, so they do not have to wake too early to check in. As a mother I have lists and thought processes a plenty so they have everything they need for a happy and successful vacation. I am super excited for them both and feeling quite settled the Mr J has been there before and has picked a few places for them to stay and visit from where he visited last time. Makes life easier for me.

I have been waking in the early hours of the morning forming a list in my mind of everything they may need, which I add to my phone so I can leave that thought to go on to the next.  The young adults are packing light with the essentials, hiring ski gear and buying anything else they need while holidaying in Japan.

notes from the week

Today's belated notes from the week come while enjoying a homemade berry smoothie. Recipe to be shared later. Smoothies are all the trend lately and I have to say that I embark on this often, especially the home made version as you can add and omit all that you like.

This week has been easy, to end on a relaxing afternoon at home alone. Miss B is at the Hordern Pavillion as I am writing this waiting for British pop band The Vamps with a cousin. They have been there since the early hours of this morning to grab the best vantage point in the pavillion when the doors open in a few hours.

I remember so many vacations that our family embraced throughout my younger years. Oe of the high lights was camping at Rainbow Beach in Queensland. Summer holidays were fun and seemed to last forever filling our times with fun and building memories with our cousins all over the east coast.

Camping is fun and since being a parent I have always preferred the resort vacations with my family but since camping last year and just last week I highly recommend it.

At this time of year most of us take a break. Some stay around home to relax and unwind and others embark on a little summer vacation. Christmas holidays can make it feel like Sunday everyday so relax and unwind in style.

How amazing is this carousel in St Andrews Square with the Eiffel Tower beckoning nearby? A dream I would like to fulfil with my daughters sometime in the very near future is to visit Paris in the winter.

home inspiration LITTLE PALM BYRON BAY

This stunning Carribean Style family home is located in one of Australia's most love areas, Byron Bay. 

Each year  the owners of the Atlantic take time to travel. Little Palm at Atlantic is their home and the private en suites are available to book. I have booked for my daughters and I in January for a few nights. I am so excited as i have never been to Byron before. Thank you to BellaMUMMA for opening my eyes to this beautiful idea.
