FIVE THINGS

This week has been a little more mellow with Mum moving into assisted living close by.  After an emotional and full on three weeks sorting through paper work and moving Mum is nearly completely settled in her new place of residence. But most of all she is H A P P Y and that in turn makes me happy that we as a family have done right by our Mother in a fulfilling life for herself.

Wednesday night my daughters had preview tickets to see Insurgent and I though I will tag along and went to see Fifty Shades of Grey.

on my mind MY IMPORTANCE IN LIFE

Do you ever underestimate how much people actually value you in their lives? I do. I guess it takes people expressing their thoughts and feelings for you to acknowledge that they do really care. I sit here quite humble not realising that people do actually think about me and care about me. It is not often that I get asked about how I really am. I am the type of person who will support and help out in any way I can and never expect anything in return except a 'thankyou'. I am happy with that. Sometimes I need to take a step back and realise that I am not just here to look after my beautiful daughters and try and run a (hopefully) successful business. I am one lucky girl who has the opportunity to follow my dreams to continue blogging about a better lifestyle, fashion and whatever I choose to. I also am hoping that Junior Epitome will grow in leaps and bounds over the next 6 months.

I take a step back when people actually do listen to you and ask how things are and this is where I think about my father (tears rolling down cheeks now) he always rang me and supported me in everything I did and he always took the time to ask so 'how much have you sold today' What is on the agenda? I do not get that anymore. I miss you so much DAD.

But the point I am trying to make is to take the time to ask questions, and offer support in any way you and realise that however small or big the support or kind words are it all matters more than you know.

DAD a year has passed

'Always welcome a new day with a smile on your lips, love in your heart and good thoughts in your mind.'

I cannot believe that it has been one year since you left us. I have been struggling the last few weeks with so much to talk to you about but you are no longer here for me to do that. I miss your advice and your wisdom. This time last year we were saying our last goodbyes and you stated that you were happy and content and that you loved me and I will cherish those words forever and ever. I loved how you called me 'daught' and 'number 1' as I was your first born. Always loving and thinking of you now and forever. Miss you DAD, so much. xoxo

13.2.13

in memory of my FATHER

It is coming up to a year that you passed away and I am missing you so much. I have had moments throughout the year where I have just simply broken down when thoughts of you and you not being here to offer your support and advice. I miss our chats on the phone and you asking what I am doing and how I am going. It is getting harder as time progresses as I am missing you more and more each day. Thank you for your wisdom and teaching me so much about the country we live in. Taking me to places I would love to go again.

Love you Dad and miss you ever so much.
Your NO. 1. (He used to call me No 1 as I was his first born.)
