Yesterday my daughters and I went to see Katy Perry: A Part of Me. All three of us are huge Katy Perry fans and the movie did not disappoint. I must admit I was a little emotional throughout, at the excitement of everything that has deservedly come her way and the sadness when she had split from Russell Brand. I know there are two sides to every story but I really felt for Katy as she tried her best to keep the relationship alive during her massive world wide tour and I felt like she was let down. It was tough watching her so upset but still having to get ready to perform. An amazing talent with so much to offer her fans all over the world. Katy is just such an inspirational singer and performer with lyrics to match and to inspire all generations.

Katy takes us on a journey through the steps she has taken to become who and where she is today. We are taken through a land of lollypops, gingerbread men and bubbles with fabulous candy style costumes with the bright passion that Katy portrays through life. She is so much fun and this movie is a must for all her fans.

Katy has become an idol for so many as she is a huge fan (like Lady Gaga) to be yourself and love yourself for who you are. You are unique and you are you, do not try to be someone you are not.

I have enjoyed all Katy Perry's music but I especially love the lyrics for Firework. I am sure everyone has the feeling of floating like a plastic bag, wanting to start again or feeling so paper thin like a house of cards one blow from caving in........( I know I have) You just have to ignite the light and let it shine, just own the night like the 4th of July, Cause baby you are a firework come on baby show them what you are worth.
